We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients practice as a Head Veterinary Nurse.
As a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in the practice. You will be able to focus on patients, as there is a theatre and hospital ward.The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting the Head Veterinary Nurse with the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.
Previous small animal experience is required. Ideally, you would have management experience but we are happy to support the right candidate with management training.
This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days. This shift pattern includes 1:4 full weekends. There is no reception work involved in this role, as they have a strong team of receptionists at the hospital. On-call is also minimal for this role, as they have a specialist night team in place.
